Industry Sponsored Pre-Vocational Training
Hunter-V-Tec offers pre-vocational courses funded by Industry, DET and Hunter-V-Tec. These courses are in the following areas:
- Metal Fabrication
- Fitting and Machining
- Electrical
- Power Linesman
- Plant Mechanic
These students graduate from November to January at the time when employers are seeking trained work ready apprentices.
Hunter-V-Tec offers employers the option of their apprentices spending the first six to twelve months of their apprenticeship on site at Hunter-V-Tec prior to going to their work site. This upskills the new apprentices and increases their productivity. Multi-skilling, in other trade areas, is part of this program. An example of Multi-skilling would be an Electrician apprentice having some exposure to Fitting & Machining or Automotive modules.
Hunter-V-Tec offers employers the option of their apprentices completing trade training under User Choice. We offer in trades as follows: Electrical, Linesman and Boilermaker. In the electrical and linesman we allow them to complete three years of their RTO component in 18 months. This enables the apprentice to work full time with their Host in 3rd and 4th years when they are most productive.
Trades Related Skills Enhancement
Hunter-V-Tec offers a range of courses to enable existing workers to upskill or refresh their manual application skills making them more attractive to employers. These programs are tailored to meet your industry’s needs. Please
contact Hunter-V-Tec to discuss your requirements.
